La terza edizione del Lugano Banking Day, evento organizzato dall’Associazione Bancaria Ticinese in collaborazione con il Dipartimento delle finanze e dell’economia del Canton Ticino (DFE), sarà dedicata al rapporto tra banche e imprese. Le sinergie tra questi due attori fondamentali dell’economia sono molteplici, così come profonda risulta la loro interdipendenza. La pandemia ha rafforzato il legame tra banche e imprese: grazie al sostegno importante e rapido offerto dagli istituti bancari in un momento di forte crisi dovuta al blocco delle attività, è stato possibile tutelare l’economia privata da un possibile collasso. Superata questa difficile prova, banche e imprese hanno di fronte un futuro ricco di sfide legate in particolare agli incerti scenari geopolitici e alle innovazioni che stanno trasformando il tessuto economico e sociale. Solo mantenendo un legame saldo sarà possibile attraversare questi cambiamenti. Gli interventi di keynote speakers e panelist di spessore permetteranno di affrontare il rapporto tra banche e imprese attraverso il punto di vista di aziende e banche svizzere a conduzione familiare e quotate in borsa, attive sia a livello globale che locale.

Vittorio Cornaro, CEO Cornèr Banca
Vittorio Cornaro is a Swiss national born in 1972, who joined Cornèr Bank in 2004 as head of the Private Banking and Markets divisions. He was appointed Deputy Chief Executive Officer in 2008, and as CEO in 2016. Prior to joining Cornèr Bank he had worked for Merrill Lynch in London from 1999 to 2004, specialising in equities markets and the bank’s own trading activities. He holds a mechanical engineering degree from Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich (ETH) and a business administration degree from the University of St. Gallen.
Lukas Gähwiler, Vice Chairman UBS Group
Lukas Gähwiler brings a wealth of industry experience and in-depth understanding of UBS to the Board. He served as Chairman of the Board of UBS Switzerland AG for five years and was a member of the Group Executive Board of UBS and President UBS Switzerland from 2010 to 2016, responsible for the private clients, wealth management, corporate and institutional clients, investment banking, and asset management businesses in UBS’s home market. Before joining UBS, Mr. Gähwiler worked for Credit Suisse for over twenty years, in his last role as Chief Credit Officer, Global Private and Corporate Banking. In addition to his leadership and industry experience across all parts of the banking business, his strong connections and network, particularly in Switzerland, are instrumental for the bank.
Hansueli Loosli, Chairman Pilatus AG
Hansueli Loosli was for many years Chairman of the Board of Directors of Coop Group Genossenschaft and of Swisscom AG. He was also Chairman of the Board of Bell Food Group AG and of Coop Mineraloel AG. Hansueli Loosli is also Chairman of the Board of Transgourmet Holding AG and a member of the Advisory Board of Deichmann SE (Germany). His outstanding entrepreneurial achievements have won him, among other accolades, the “SwissAward“ for entrepreneurs (2003) and the Swiss “Entrepreneur of the Year” award (2010).
Ermenegildo Zegna, CEO Zegna Group.
Ermenegildo “Gildo” Zegna is Chairman and CEO of Ermenegildo Zegna Group. A member of the Zegna family’s third generation, Gildo oversees the company founded by his grandfather and namesake in 1910. In December 2021, he led the Group through its public listing on the New York Stock Exchange, making history as the first Italian luxury group listed on the world’s largest stock exchange.
